These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern participation in any martial arts, fitness, or personal training services provided by GFTeam Bondi (Barefoot Warrior Pty Ltd, ABN 44621007949), either in-person or online. By taking part in our classes or allowing your child to participate, you agree to these Terms.

1. Enrolment and Eligibility

1.1. All participants must complete and sign the Waiver of Liability (including health declaration) before participating.

1.2. Participants under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

1.3. You must inform GFTeam Bondi of any changes to your or your child’s health that may affect safe participation.

2. Assumption of Risk

2.1. You acknowledge that martial arts involve physical contact and carry inherent risks of injury, including serious injury or death.

2.2. You participate voluntarily and accept full responsibility for any injuries or harm that may arise.

2.3. You agree to follow all safety instructions and conduct yourself in a respectful and responsible manner.

3. Code of Conduct

3.1. All participants and their parents/guardians must treat instructors, staff, and fellow members with respect.

3.2. Aggressive, disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour (in class, via communication, or online) will not be tolerated.

3.3. Breaches of conduct may result in suspension or cancellation of membership without refund.

4. Termination of Membership

4.1. GFTeam Bondi reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership at its sole discretion, including if:

  • There is a breakdown in trust or confidence;

  • Behaviour of a member or their parent/guardian is aggressive, abusive, or inconsistent with GFTeam Bondi’s values;

  • The member breaches these Terms or any safety rules;

  • Fees remain unpaid beyond the due date.

4.2. If membership is terminated by GFTeam Bondi, a refund may be issued for unused, prepaid sessions, unless the termination arises from a breach of these Terms, in which case no refund will be given.

5. Payment and Fees

5.1. Fees must be paid in advance, as per your membership option.

5.2. Failure to pay fees on time may result in suspension of access to classes.

5.3. GFTeam Bondi may change pricing at its discretion with reasonable notice.

6. Cancellations, suspension and Refunds

6.1. You may cancel your membership at any time by providing at least 4 weeks written notice on email to info@gfteambondi.com.au.

6.2. Refunds for unused sessions may be granted at the discretion of GFTeam Bondi, but are not guaranteed.

6.3. Missed classes are not refundable but may be rescheduled if allowed under your membership plan.

6.4. You may suspend your membership by providing at least 2 weeks written notice on email to info@gfteambondi.com.au. Minimum suspension period of two weeks. Suspension to and from date must be advised, you may not suspend indefintiely. If you suspend and then decide to cancel, the cancellation period must be adhered to in addition to the suspension period (i.e. Suspension time will not be included).

7. Emergency Medical Care

You authorise GFTeam Bondi to seek medical treatment on your or your child’s behalf in case of an emergency, and agree to bear all associated costs.

8. Photography and Video

8.1. You consent to GFTeam Bondi recording classes and using images or videos of participants (including CCTV) for safety, training, and promotional purposes.

8.2. You may request in writing to exclude yourself or your child from promotional use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, GFTeam Bondi is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in training, unless caused by gross negligence. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of income, medical costs, or property damage.

Statutory Warning under Section 139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth):

You acknowledge that participation in martial arts is a recreational activity involving risk. By agreeing to these Terms, you waive any right to sue GFTeam Bondi for death or injury caused by a failure to comply with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, except where gross negligence is proven.

10. Privacy

All personal information collected is treated confidentially and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By attending or participating in any GFTeam Bondi class, training session, seminar, or event (in person or online), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service, including our Waiver of Liability. This applies whether participation is ongoing, casual, or part of a membership.

If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on their behalf.

4. Limitations of Liability - We shall not be liable for any loss or injury suffered by the copying, mimicking or imitating the movements or exercises shown in pictures or videos contained on this website.

The movements depicted in the photographs and/or videos require significant levels of fitness, agility and practice. They should not be attempted by you alone or unsupervised by someone familiar with GFTeam Jiu Jitsu and Functional Training techniques. We will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of ignoring this advice.

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that the information on this website is correct, we do not warrant its completeness or accuracy; nor do we not commit to ensuring that the website remains available or that the material on this website is kept up-to-date.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions (including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and the use of reasonable care and skill).

Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.
